On September 7th, 2008 upwards of a thousand San Diegans and jazz fans throughout the region will flock to the city’s third annual Ocean Beach Jazz Fest to indulge in a variety of music styles including Jazz, Latin, Soul and Blues, performed by internationally-acclaimed star bands. The festival, located at the end of Newport Avenue only steps from the soft sand, breaking waves and fresh ocean scent, has an atmosphere unlike any other jazz festival. The event is co-hosted by listener-supported KSDS Jazz 88.3 FM, a broadcast service of San Diego City College; and the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association, who with the festival have played an integral part in ex-panding San Diego’s jazz music scene. Tickets start at just $35 and are expected to sell out in advance.
